Saudi Arabia's National Guard Health Affairs And KAIMRC To Highlight Biotechnology Innovations At BIO Convention 2025
The Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences are set to participate in the 2025 BIO International Convention. This event, the largest in biotechnology, will take place in Boston, U.S. Their involvement signifies Saudi Arabia's first unified national representation in this field, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Biotechnology Strategy.
KAIMRC plans to highlight various national achievements and pioneering initiatives during the convention. The Saudi pavilion will include a dedicated area for meetings aimed at forming partnerships with global biotechnology companies. These discussions will explore opportunities in research, development, and biomanufacturing.

The pavilion will host five key sessions as part of the "Spotlight Sessions" and "Super Session." The most notable is the Super Session titled "Partnering for Progress: Exploring Innovation and Opportunities in Biotechnology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia." Professor Dr. Bandar bin Abdulmohsen Al-Knawy will join other leaders from health, investment, and scientific research sectors.
KAIMRC will deliver high-level presentations during corporate sessions. Topics will include advancing biotechnology innovation through health sciences and research, the Saudi Biobank's role in Saudi Vision 2030, and the National Biotechnology Strategy’s vision for the sector.
The Ministry of Health will officially participate by launching an accelerator program for biotechnology startups. Additionally, it plans to organize a high-level reception to bring together investors, experts, and industry leaders worldwide. This event aims to foster dialogue and explore collaboration opportunities with Saudi Arabia.
This participation underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to creating an integrated environment for research and development. It is supported by advanced digital infrastructure, a flexible regulatory framework, and partnerships at both national and international levels.
Strengthening Global Position
Through this engagement, KAIMRC and KSAU-HS aim to facilitate knowledge transfer and localize biotechnological industries. Their efforts are focused on strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a global hub for life sciences and biotechnology.
