New Transportation Project To Elevate Pilgrim Experience In Saudi Holy Mosques
The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has invited applications for a project aimed at improving transportation experiences at these holy sites. This initiative aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, focusing on enhancing pilgrim and Umrah performer experiences through an income-sharing system.
The proposed transportation system aims to adapt to the unique environment of the Grand Mosque. It seeks to offer a comprehensive experience from arrival to the completion of rituals like Tawaf (Circumambulation) and Sa'i. The goal is to serve 100,000 beneficiaries daily during Hajj and Umrah seasons by ensuring operational efficiency.

This new system will help reduce the time required for performing Tawaf and Sa'i, thereby improving overall satisfaction levels. Currently, general satisfaction stands at 78%, but the project aims to boost this figure to over 90%. The initiative also focuses on enhancing the efficiency of worshippers' journeys, from booking to completing their rituals.
The transportation project will cover areas within both the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque. There is also potential for expansion to include taxi drop-off points in central areas and shuttle transportation stations. This expansion aims to streamline access and reduce waiting times for services.
By implementing this project, authorities hope to reduce procedural durations and waiting periods significantly. This will facilitate a smoother experience for pilgrims and Umrah performers, making their spiritual journey more comfortable and efficient.
The initiative is designed not only to improve logistical aspects but also to enhance overall satisfaction among worshippers. By providing a seamless transportation experience, it aims to make religious rituals more accessible and less time-consuming.
The project's focus on operational efficiency includes establishing convenient means of transportation that cater specifically to the needs of pilgrims. This approach ensures that all aspects of their journey are considered, from arrival at the mosque to completing their rituals.
Overall, this transportation improvement project represents a significant step towards achieving the objectives outlined in Vision 2030. By enhancing the pilgrim experience through efficient transportation solutions, it contributes to a more fulfilling spiritual journey for all worshippers.
