Saudi Arabia Announces Establishment Of Red Sea National Academy To Support Tourism

Under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a significant announcement was made regarding the establishment of the Red Sea National Academy (TRSNA). This initiative, unveiled during the Human Capability Initiative in Riyadh, aims to foster technical specializations among trainees to meet the regional labor market's demands. The collaboration involves the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Colleges of Excellence, and Red Sea Global, with TRSNA set to be located in Al-Wajh.

The academy is tasked with a bold objective: to train 10,000 participants by 2030, equipping young Saudis for a variety of roles within the burgeoning tourism sector. This initiative was officially endorsed through an agreement overseen by the Minister of Education, Yousef Al-Benyan. Key figures in this agreement included Reem Al-Muqbel, Vice Governor of Planning & Business Development at the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation; Eng. Ayman Al-Abdullah, CEO of Colleges of Excellence; and John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global.

Red Sea Academy Boosts Saudi Tourism

Reem Al-Muqbel highlighted the commitment of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation to bolster national human resources through diverse training programs and strategic partnerships with the private sector. This is aimed at fulfilling the labor market's need for skilled human resources.

Eng. Ayman Al-Abdullah expressed his confidence in TRSNA's potential to supply the tourism sector with well-qualified Saudis. He emphasized that TRSNA would foster a stimulating training environment that promotes creativity and innovation among trainees. The academy is envisioned to become a premier center for education and training in tourism, thereby boosting the Kingdom's status as a leading global tourist destination.

The establishment of TRSNA as part of the Strategic Partnership Institutes in the Kingdom underscores its dedication to providing top-tier training programs that are responsive to the labor market's evolving needs.

CEO Pagano remarked on TRSNA's role in realizing Vision 2030, highlighting Red Sea Global's leading position in expanding Saudi Arabia's tourism industry. With two hotels already operational and four resorts set to open by year-end, plus an additional 19 hotels across The Red Sea and Amaala slated for next year, TRSNA is poised to supply a steady stream of trained professionals to support these developments.
