Saudi Arabia Boosts Logistics Sector With Launch Of Logisti 2 And Strategic Partnerships

At the third edition of the 'LEAP24' conference and exhibition, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, unveiled the enhanced version of the 'Logisti 2' platform. This initiative is set to revolutionize the logistics sector by offering over 140 logistical services through a single window, aiming to streamline investors' experiences and align with international best practices. The launch underscores the Kingdom's commitment to fostering an efficient, world-class logistics services sector.

Furthermore, Eng. Al-Jasser introduced the Ports Community System (PCS) as part of the 'Logisti' unified logistics window system. This addition promises to deliver more than 250 electronic services across Saudi ports, significantly boosting operational efficiency and growth volume. This move is pivotal in reinforcing Saudi Arabia's strategic position on the global maritime map and advancing the objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, in line with Vision 2030.

Logisti 2 Launch Elevates Saudi Logistics

In a significant stride towards digital transformation and innovation, Eng. Al-Jasser also presided over the signing of five key agreements. The first agreement between Airports Holding Company and Devoteam aims to leverage modern technologies to meet future objectives. Additionally, four agreements were signed by Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) to enhance operational efficiency and safety on railway lines, redefine car rental services at SAR stations, focus on digitization and IT solutions, and improve urban landscapes around railway towers.

The LEAP conference serves as a global forum for discussing technological advancements and artificial intelligence, showcasing innovations, and reinforcing the Kingdom's status as a hub for technology and innovation. The event draws over 1,000 international and local companies from the technology sector and features more than 1,000 experts and speakers from 180 countries.

This series of initiatives and agreements marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia's journey towards becoming a global logistics centre. By integrating advanced technologies and fostering international collaborations, the Kingdom is well on its way to achieving its ambitious Vision 2030 goals.
