Saudi Ministry Launches Four Agricultural Investment Projects In Makkah

The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has unveiled four new investment opportunities to establish integrated agricultural cities in the Makkah region. These projects include vegetable and crop production, fruit tree cultivation, and a specialised laboratory for growing wild seedlings. This initiative aligns with the ministry's goals to enhance food security, support sustainable development, and advance the agricultural sector.

The first opportunity involves creating an agricultural city for vegetable and crop production in Al-Kamil, near the Wadi Al-Sabaan Dam. This site spans approximately 144,507 square meters. The second opportunity is also in Al-Kamil but near the Wadi Al-Shawan Dam, covering around 287,082 square meters. Both projects aim to boost local agriculture and contribute to economic diversification.

The third investment focuses on establishing an agricultural city for fruit tree production in Haly 3 within the Makkah region. This project will cover an area of about 1,118,131.08 square meters. The fourth opportunity allows investors to set up a Taif rose nursery and laboratory for growing wild seedlings in Saiysad National Park. This site measures approximately 51,629 square meters.
