Saudi Arabia, Jordan, UAE, And Bahrain Reaffirm Support For Syrian Sovereignty And Stability
Foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Turkiye, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, and Egypt recently engaged in comprehensive discussions about Syria's situation. These talks aimed to support Syria's government in rebuilding the nation while ensuring its security and sovereignty. The ministers collectively emphasised their commitment to Syria's unity and stability.
The ministers expressed strong disapproval of any foreign interference in Syria's internal matters. They highlighted the importance of maintaining Syria's sovereignty and security as a regional priority. Additionally, they condemned Israel's repeated attacks on Syria as violations of international law that threaten the country's stability and territorial integrity.

The joint statement welcomed an agreement to resolve the crisis in As-Suwayda Governorate. This agreement is seen as vital for preserving Syria’s unity and protecting its citizens. The ministers stressed the need for its implementation to prevent further violence and uphold state sovereignty.
His Excellency Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa's commitment to holding violators accountable in As-Suwayda was commended by the ministers. They supported efforts to restore security and rule of law across Syria while rejecting violence and sectarianism.
The ministers urged the international community to assist in Syria’s reconstruction efforts. They called on the Security Council to ensure Israel withdraws from occupied Syrian territories and ceases hostilities against Syria. Full implementation of Resolution 2766 and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement was also demanded.
The discussions underscored that Syria’s stability is crucial for regional security. The ministers reiterated their support for initiatives aimed at rebuilding a new Syria that meets its people's aspirations while safeguarding their rights.
