Saudi Arabia Joins Forces With Jordan To Airdrop Food Aid Into Gaza Strip

Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has provided food aid to Jordan. This initiative was overseen by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, advisor at the Royal Court and KSrelief General Supervisor. The aid is managed by the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and will be delivered to the Jordanian Hashemite Armed Forces (Arab Army) and relevant authorities.

The aid, weighing 30 tons, is part of Saudi Arabia's recent delivery of parachutes and nets designed for humanitarian airdrop operations. This support aims to assist Jordan in delivering aid to the Gaza Strip and mitigating the humanitarian crisis there. The aid will be transported to the Palestinian people in Gaza through an airdrop operation as part of Saudi Arabia's popular campaign to provide relief to Palestinians in the enclave.

Food Aid Airdropped into Gaza

Since the onset of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, KSrelief has launched a popular campaign through the "Sahem" platform to support Palestinians. Donations have exceeded SAR 700 million. The Kingdom has also established an air bridge with 54 aircraft arrivals and a sea bridge with eight ships arriving so far.

The Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza has received significant aid, including 20 ambulances equipped with advanced first-aid equipment, 30 electrical generators, and 10 water tanks. Additionally, over 500 convoys have crossed through the Rafah border crossing to deliver essential supplies.

KSrelief has signed five agreements with various international organizations to provide relief to Palestinians in Gaza. These agreements total $8.75 million, showcasing Saudi Arabia's commitment to delivering urgent humanitarian aid to alleviate suffering amid the current crisis.

The center's in-kind assistance to Gaza has amounted to more than 6,546 tons of various relief materials. This extensive support underscores Saudi Arabia's dedication to helping those affected by the ongoing humanitarian situation in Gaza.

This comprehensive effort by KSrelief demonstrates Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to providing necessary aid and relief materials through multiple channels. By working closely with international organizations and local authorities, Saudi Arabia aims to ease the hardships faced by Palestinians during this challenging time.
