Saudi Arabia To Host Second Human Capability Initiative Conference In April 2025 Under HRH Crown Prince's Patronage
Under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) has announced the second Human Capability Initiative (HCI). This event, themed "Beyond Readiness," is part of Saudi Vision 2030 and will occur on April 13-14, 2025, at Riyadh's King Abdulaziz International Convention Center.
The HCI 2025 aims to address the urgent need to develop human potential amid rapid global changes. It envisions a future where individuals and communities thrive by collaborating to shape progress. The initiative focuses on learning, belonging, and action, applying learning science, fostering inclusive communities, and empowering changemakers at all levels.

The Education Global Exhibition (EDGEx), organised by the Ministry of Education, will coincide with HCI 2025 from April 13-16, 2025. EDGEx will showcase leading universities and institutions from around the world. It will highlight technological advancements and innovative programs that are shaping both national and international education systems.
Minister of Education Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan expressed gratitude for HRH the Crown Prince's support. He stated: "The convening of the second edition of HCI is an affirmation of the importance of harnessing efforts and enriching global dialogue in a way that contributes to the development of the future of human capabilities." Al-Benyan also noted that EDGEx would offer opportunities for universities and companies to explore new technologies and educational practices.
HCI 2025 will gather over 12,000 experts, officials, and decision-makers. More than 300 international speakers from various sectors will share insights and success stories. This diverse group includes representatives from government bodies, private enterprises, non-profit organisations, think tanks, and international entities.
Building on Previous Success
The inaugural conference in February 2024 set a high standard with over 10,000 attendees. It featured 300 speakers across 102 panel discussions and facilitated signing more than 40 agreements with local and international entities. Investments exceeding SAR3.9 billion were realised in sectors related to human capability development.
EDGEx will also feature workshops designed to foster knowledge exchange among participants. These workshops aim to share success stories and facilitate strategic agreements with prominent global educational institutions. The exhibition promises to create new investment opportunities aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
This year's edition builds on past achievements by continuing to inspire collaboration among global leaders in education and development. The focus remains on advancing human capabilities through shared knowledge and innovative practices.
