Saudi Arabia To Host 11th Ministerial Conference Of Least Developed Countries On November 22

Saudi Arabia is set to host the 11th Ministerial Conference of the Least Developed Countries (LDCMC11) on November 22. The event, themed "Driving Inclusive Industrialization: Investment, Innovation, and Partnerships in LDCs," is organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. This conference will precede UNIDO’s 21st General Conference in Riyadh.

The conference serves as a significant global platform focused on industrial development in the least developed countries. It aims to support 44 nations across Africa, Asia, the Pacific, and the Caribbean. The objectives include facilitating access to financing, promoting knowledge exchange, stimulating trade, and aiding these countries' integration into regional and global value chains.

Saudi Arabia Hosts LDC Ministerial Conference

The event will emphasize accelerating inclusive industrialization through investment, innovation, and strategic partnerships. Discussions will explore innovative financial mechanisms to mobilize local and international capital for sustainable industrial growth in LDCs. The role of development finance institutions and multilateral banks will be highlighted.

A high-level session titled "Uniting for Progress by Innovation" will open the event. This will be followed by a ministerial dialogue on fostering environments that attract sustainable investment, nurture innovation ecosystems, and build inclusive industrial capabilities. The session will explore synergies between national priorities and global opportunities.

The agenda includes dialogue on transformative industrial policies for irreversible graduation. Discussions will focus on designing forward-looking policies that promote diversification, value addition, and technological upgrading in LDCs. Emphasis will be placed on regional integration and public-private alliances.

By hosting this conference, Saudi Arabia reaffirms its growing role as a global center for sustainable industrial development. The Kingdom acts as a bridge between developed and developing economies to support inclusive growth. Saudi Arabia's commitment is further demonstrated by hosting the 21st UNIDO General Conference from November 23 to 27, 2025.
