Saudi King Honours Pakistan Air Chief With Prestigious King Abdulaziz Medal

In a significant gesture underscoring the deep-rooted ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Supreme Commander of All Military Forces, has bestowed the King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellent Class upon Pakistan’s Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu. This prestigious accolade is in acknowledgment of Baber’s notable efforts in fortifying the friendship and collaborative endeavors between the two nations, alongside his contributions to their evolving bilateral relations.

The award ceremony took place in Riyadh, where Lt. Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff, representing Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Minister of Defense, presented the medal to Air Chief Marshal Baber. The event was graced by the presence of Lt. Gen. Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force, along with several high-ranking officials from the Armed Forces of Saudi Arabia.

During their meeting, Lt. Gen. Al-Ruwaili and Air Chief Marshal Baber engaged in discussions on various aspects of Saudi-Pakistan bilateral relations, with a particular focus on enhancing military and defence cooperation.
