Saudi Arabia To Honor Winners At Prestigious King Abdulaziz Holy Quran Competition

Saudi Arabia will celebrate the winners of the 44th King Abdulaziz International Holy Quran Competition on Wednesday at the Grand Mosque. This event, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, took place in Makkah. A record 174 participants from 123 countries competed this year, marking the highest number of participating nations in the competition's history.

The winners will be honoured under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Representing him at the ceremony will be Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region. This event underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to promoting Quranic values and supporting Quran reciters worldwide.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh expressed his gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continuous support for the Quran and its reciters. He highlighted that this competition, named after King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, benefits from unwavering royal backing.

The minister emphasized that hosting such international competitions is a privilege granted by Allah to Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom takes pride in organizing events that encourage Muslims globally to engage in Quran memorization, recitation, and interpretation. These competitions foster healthy competition among Muslims and reflect Saudi Arabia's dedication to serving Islam.
