Saudi Arabia Enhances Strategic Alliances And Economic Diversification During Washington Visit
The latter part of November was significant for Saudi Arabia, marking a period of notable international diplomacy and domestic progress. The Kingdom advanced its security framework while also propelling its entertainment and urban development sectors forward. This period saw historic agreements and project milestones that underscored Saudi Arabia's evolving global role.
One of the most significant events was the visit of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Washington, D.C. During this visit, he co-chaired a summit with US President Donald Trump. This meeting resulted in a Strategic Defense Agreement and a Strategic AI Partnership, establishing a long-term alliance in security and technology.

The economic outcomes of the visit were substantial, with agreements and MoUs totalling around $270 billion. Among these were 17 deals by Saudi Aramco with American companies valued at over $30 billion. These agreements reinforced a trade relationship that has surpassed $500 billion over the past ten years.
Saudi Arabia also achieved a Vision 2030 milestone with the announcement of Six Flags Qiddiya City's opening. This park, the first outside North America, will feature "Falcons Flight," the tallest and fastest roller coaster globally. The announcement coincided with Cityscape Global 2025 in Riyadh, showcasing future urban living concepts to over 170,000 visitors.
In Riyadh, the King Salman Park Foundation revealed plans for a $1 billion mixed-use investment fund to develop a new district within the park. This initiative aims to enrich Riyadh's urban landscape further. These developments are part of broader efforts to transform Saudi Arabia's urban environments.
Several key statistics highlight Saudi Arabia's progress: non-oil exports grew by 21.7% year-on-year in September 2025; Riyadh Season 2025 attracted three million visitors in just 35 days; and Umrah performers numbered 5.4 million in the second quarter of 2025.
