Saudi Arabia's Dammam Hits 50°C Amid Early Summer Heat Wave
Dammam experienced temperatures reaching 50°C in the shade last week, announced official spokesman for Saudi Arabia National Center of Meteorology, Hussein Al-Qahtani, on X Thursday.
The spokesperson indicated that these extreme temperatures are expected to persist, particularly affecting areas such as Riyadh. Notably, this intense heat is occurring early in the summer season.
Despite being only in the first quarter of summer, Al-Qahtani said that the Kingdom is already experiencing significant temperature spikes. The NCM's observations indicate a trend of rising temperatures, which could have various implications for daily life and activities in affected areas.
