Saudi Arabia's Health Minister Highlights Significant Healthcare Advancements At Model Of Care Forum 2025

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's healthcare sector has shown remarkable progress, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Fahad Al-Jalajel, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Health Holding Company, highlighted these advancements at the Model of Care Forum 2025. He noted that implementing a modern healthcare model has significantly reduced premature deaths from chronic diseases by 40% and traffic accident fatalities by 50%.

Al-Jalajel announced that the Modern Healthcare Model will now be known as the Saudi Healthcare Model. This model aims to reach more citizens and residents, offering innovative treatments and improving operational efficiency. It focuses on enhancing quality of life through specialised healthcare pathways, transitioning patients from pain to hope, and fostering a healthy society.

In 2024, the Saudi Healthcare Model benefited over 28 million people through various healthcare facilities. The model's success includes improving heart attack treatment rates to 70% within the target timeframe. Al-Jalajel praised the significant role played by healthcare clusters across the Kingdom in proactively addressing societal needs.

Leadership support has been crucial in developing a world-class healthcare model in Saudi Arabia. Al-Jalajel emphasised that this backing has enabled the national healthcare workforce to achieve outstanding results. The ambitious vision for health prioritises human well-being and sets the stage for substantial changes in the sector.

"These efforts saved 75,000 lives, demonstrating the healthcare sector's evolution toward a more comprehensive and sustainable model," stated Al-Jalajel. The focus on reducing premature deaths and traffic fatalities highlights the sector's commitment to public health improvements.
