Saudi Arabia To Highlight Its Culture As Guest Of Honor At Beijing Book Fair 2024

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to inaugurate its pavilion at the Beijing International Book Fair 2024, where it will serve as the guest of honour. The event is scheduled to take place from June 19 to 23 in Beijing. The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, along with various cultural and national entities, oversees the Kingdom's participation.

The primary objective of Saudi Arabia's participation is to highlight its cultural heritage to the Chinese public. This initiative aims to enhance knowledge exchange between the two nations and foster cooperation in literature and the arts. The pavilion will feature contributions from multiple sectors, including the Heritage Commission, Culinary Arts Commission, and Film Commission.

Other notable participants include the Ministry of Investment, King Abdulaziz Foundation (Darah), King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, King Abdulaziz Public Library, King Fahd National Library, and Saudi Publishing Association. This diverse representation aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Saudi culture and intellectual production.

Investment Opportunities

The pavilion will also promote investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia, particularly within the cultural sector. This initiative seeks to attract international interest and collaboration in various cultural projects and enterprises.

Seminars and Dialogue Sessions

Special corners for partners of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission will also be featured. These sections aim to showcase collaborative efforts in literature and publishing between Saudi Arabia and other countries.
