Saudi Arabia Showcases Growing Global Role In Infrastructure Development At Paris Infraweek 2025

At the opening of Paris Infraweek 2025, Khaled Alkhattaf, CEO of the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority, led Saudi Arabia's delegation as the guest of honour. He highlighted the Kingdom's growing role in global infrastructure. In his keynote speech, Alkhattaf stressed Saudi Arabia's dedication to becoming a leader in infrastructure development both regionally and globally.

Alkhattaf outlined the ambitious transformation driven by Vision 2030, focusing on innovation and sustainability. This vision aims to attract foreign investment and advance mega-development projects. A significant part of this strategy involves investing approximately $1 trillion in infrastructure over the coming years.

The planned investments will cover sectors like communications, information technology, healthcare, education, and industrial zones. Notably, half of this investment will target critical areas such as energy, water, and transportation. These sectors are vital for supporting Saudi Arabia's long-term growth objectives.

During Paris Infraweek 2025, the Saudi delegation presented their infrastructure strategy. They explored investment opportunities in key sectors like railways and major projects. Discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation ahead of significant events like Expo 2030 in Riyadh and the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Alkhattaf engaged with international officials to strengthen economic partnerships and promote reciprocal investments. These meetings aimed to expand collaborations across various sectors, fostering stronger ties between Saudi Arabia and other countries.

The Kingdom's commitment to infrastructure development is evident through its strategic focus on attracting foreign investment. By prioritising key sectors and fostering international collaboration, Saudi Arabia aims to solidify its position as a global leader in infrastructure development.
