Saudi Arabia Demonstrates Global Investment Leadership With Record Commitments From Recent International Forums

The first half of November highlighted Saudi Arabia's growing prominence as a global centre for investment and innovation. Three major international forums—FII9, the inaugural TOURISE summit, and Biban—concluded with significant capital inflows aimed at boosting the Kingdom's economic transformation. These events underscored Saudi Arabia's strategic focus on becoming a leader in various sectors.

The Biban Forum 2025 ended with SAR38 billion in agreements, drawing over 100,000 visitors and notable international interest, including nearly 50 startups from Korea. This influx of capital is directly supporting the Kingdom's industrial and technological ambitions. The General Authority for Military Industries reported that military spending localization has reached 24.89%, moving closer to the Vision 2030 target of 50%.

In the energy sector, Aramco announced robust Q3 2025 results with an adjusted net income of $28.0 billion. The company also revised its 2030 sales gas production target upward to an 80% increase over 2021 levels. This reflects Saudi Arabia's commitment to enhancing its energy capabilities and contributing to global energy markets.

Saudi Arabia is setting new global standards, as evidenced by the World Bank's report praising the Education and Training Evaluation Commission for improving education quality. The report highlighted significant gains in international test scores. Additionally, Saudi Arabia led the adoption of the first-ever global standard for fresh dates at the UN's Codex Alimentarius Commission in Rome, showcasing its agricultural strength.

The inaugural TOURISE Summit in Riyadh stimulated $113 billion in investments aimed at transforming the global tourism sector. Meanwhile, deals worth $50 billion were signed at the FII9 conference, contributing to over $250 billion in cumulative deals since its inception.

Technological Advancements

The Communications, Space and Technology Commission conducted the first-ever trial of the 7 GHz frequency band for 6G in the MENA region. This marks a significant step forward in pioneering next-generation technology within Saudi Arabia.

Saudi land border crossings saw a total of 65.9 million passengers during 2024, with King Fahd Causeway accounting for nearly half of this number. The "Nusuk" app for Hajj and Umrah now boasts 40 million global users, as announced at the 5th Hajj Conference and Exhibition.

Transport and Connectivity

Saudi Arabia Railways transported a total of 7.5 million tons of minerals and goods during Q3 2025. In aviation, Saudia introduced its first fully connected flight offering internet speeds of up to 300 Mbps, which will soon be available free to all passengers.

KSrelief sent 71 relief aircraft to Gaza as part of a major humanitarian campaign that also includes eight ships and over $90.35 million in aid agreements.

Cultural Recognition

AlUla received three major accolades at the 2025 World Travel Awards, including "Middle East's Leading Cultural Tourism Project." Additionally, Saudi Arabia secured a total of 22 medals at the Asian Youth Games in Manama.
