Saudi Arabia Calls For Global Efforts To Secure Sustainable Food Supply
Saudi Arabia has urged for a unified global effort to secure sustainable food systems through strategic changes and enhanced international collaboration. Speaking at the G20 agriculture ministers' meeting in Brazil, Environment, Water, and Agriculture Minister Abdulrahman AlFadley stressed the need for innovative solutions and practical measures to meet increasing food demands.
AlFadley acknowledged advancements in technology and innovation but highlighted the ongoing necessity for investment in agriculture. He pointed out that such investments are crucial for boosting productivity and building resilience within food systems. Improving access to sustainable financing for agricultural development remains a priority.

AlFadley emphasized the importance of stakeholder engagement, including the private sector and civil society, to achieve common goals for sustainable food systems. He praised Brazil's Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty initiative.
