King Salman's Patronage Of Future Aviation Forum Highlights Saudi's Aviation Ambitions
Riyadh, SPA – In a significant move underscoring the Kingdom's commitment to the aviation sector, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, highlighted the importance of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud's sponsorship of the third edition of the Future Aviation Forum. Scheduled from May 20 to 22 under the theme "Elevating Global Connectivity", this endorsement is a testament to the leadership's unwavering support for the aviation industry, propelling Saudi Arabia to a leading position in global aviation and air transport.
Eng. Al-Jasser emphasized that Riyadh hosting this forum for the third consecutive time demonstrates the Kingdom's dedication to bolstering the aviation industry. This aligns with strategic goals derived from the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to significantly boost economic and investment prospects within the sector. The strategy outlines ambitious targets, including doubling passenger numbers, connecting Saudi Arabia to over 250 international destinations, increasing cargo volume to 4.5 million tons annually, and establishing the Kingdom as a pivotal aviation hub and logistics center globally.

The Future Aviation Forum 2024 is set to welcome more than 5,000 global aviation leaders, including top officials and heads of international airlines. The event will delve into pressing issues facing the aviation world, exploring solutions to challenges while spotlighting growth, investment, and innovation opportunities within the Kingdom. Discussions will cover a range of pivotal topics aimed at reshaping the future of global aviation, such as air transportation enhancement, promoting environmental sustainability in civil aviation, enabling advanced air mobility, improving global connectivity, and fortifying supply chains.
This year's forum not only serves as a critical platform for industry discourse but also showcases investment opportunities exceeding $100 billion.
