Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Leads Delegation At Extraordinary Arab Summit In Cairo

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, representing His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, led the Saudi delegation at the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Egypt. He conveyed greetings from King Salman and the Crown Prince, expressing hopes for a successful summit. The minister thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian government for their efforts in regional coordination.

He also expressed gratitude to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain for his contributions during Bahrain's presidency of the Arab League Council session. Prince Faisal emphasized Saudi Arabia's firm stance against any violation of Palestinian rights, including settlement policies and annexation attempts. He reaffirmed support for a Palestinian state based on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Saudi Minister Leads Delegation at Arab Summit

The foreign minister highlighted the dire situation in Gaza, urging international efforts to restore normalcy and dignity for Palestinians. He called for reconstruction and a halt to altering realities on the ground. International guarantees and UN resolutions are essential to maintain ceasefire sustainability and prevent further aggression in Gaza.

Prince Faisal stressed supporting the Palestinian National Authority in fulfilling its responsibilities, including managing Gaza and providing humanitarian services. The Kingdom hopes this summit will lead to tangible outcomes that end war consequences, protect civilians, and foster regional security and prosperity.

The Saudi delegation included Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji; Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al Farhan; Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh Al-Husseini; Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Matar; and Assistant Director-General of the Minister's Office Waleed Al-Ismail.

The minister reiterated that the international community must unite to address Palestinian suffering in Gaza. Efforts should focus on enabling Palestinians to live with dignity without attempts to change existing conditions. Supporting Palestinian self-determination remains crucial for achieving peace.

The Kingdom aspires for this summit to yield results that mitigate war impacts, safeguard innocent lives in Palestine, and establish a secure, stable region. This commitment aligns with Saudi Arabia's dedication to regional peace and stability.
