Saudi Arabia's Education Sector Transformed By Strategic Investments And Private Partnerships

The Ministry of Education is making significant strides in enhancing its educational infrastructure. This involves equipping schools with the necessary technical, logistical, and technological resources to foster a safe and stimulating learning environment. The initiative aims to boost efficiency by empowering schools and strengthening governance across 16 educational departments. Tatweer Education Holding Company has been entrusted with operations, maintenance, and quality management.

Saudi Arabia's education system is undergoing a transformation that embraces innovation. Classrooms are evolving into spaces where artificial intelligence meets human creativity. Initiatives such as "schools of the future," the Madrasti platform, and the Human Capability Development Program are reshaping education to meet digital age demands. These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030.

Saudi Arabia Invests in Education Sector Growth

This year saw the inauguration of 120 new schools through private-sector partnerships, part of the Kingdom's privatization program. Since last year, 199 foreign investment licenses have been issued to international educational companies. The ministry has supported 1,069 newly established private schools and implemented 75 new construction projects valued at SAR920 million.

In collaboration with the private sector, modern model schools have been established. The first technical school for gifted students was launched in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy and expanded to five educational departments. Additionally, a sports school was created in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport and Mahd Sports Academy.

The Cravta interactive educational platform exemplifies this transformation by offering smart tools for teachers and personalized learning journeys for students. It turns education from a routine task into an engaging adventure. Fahad Alsuwigh's "B6lapp" app introduces another innovative approach by using an interactive points system to reward students for achievements and positive behavior.

The B6lapp platform allows students to redeem points for digital cards from over 600 brands, making good behavior rewarding. It also provides a secure communication channel for teachers and parents to monitor student progress without needing multiple platforms.

International Collaborations

Saudi education is becoming a tool for enhancing the Kingdom’s global image through international partnerships and joint academic programs. Universities like Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University attract international talent and have registered 34 patents in fields such as energy, human health, and sustainability.

The Ministry has invested over SAR2 billion in comprehensive maintenance for more than 15,000 school buildings. Additionally, over 1,400 buildings have been renovated at a cost of SAR782 million. These investments lay the foundation for a future built on knowledge and ambition.

Cultural talent schools have also been established in Riyadh and Jeddah in partnership with the Ministry of Culture. These initiatives highlight Saudi Arabia's commitment to fostering diverse talents across various fields.
