Saudi Arabia Champions Ethical Approach To AI Innovations At International Forum

President of the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, addressed a roundtable discussion on AI innovation at the AI Global Forum in Seoul, Republic of Korea. He highlighted that AI will enhance context understanding and generate more accurate content as technologies advance. The event saw participation from technology and communications ministers and AI experts worldwide.

Dr. Alghamdi emphasized Saudi Arabia's dedication to AI innovations, stressing the importance of ethical use. He noted that Saudi Arabia is developing policies and regulatory frameworks for AI, promoting international cooperation, and ensuring that advancements benefit all sectors responsibly. He remarked that access to advanced technology is increasingly feasible and is shaping the future significantly.

"Artificial intelligence has become a crucial part of modern innovation, revolutionizing various fields like healthcare and entertainment," Dr. Alghamdi stated. He added that the rapid adoption of AI will bring improved efficiencies, enhanced capabilities, and unforeseen opportunities. He also underscored the significance of open-source AI in driving innovation and reshaping the technological landscape.

Dr. Alghamdi discussed the transformative potential of open-source AI and open-access databases in fostering innovations. He explained that open-source AI facilitates access to advanced tools and algorithms for a wide range of creators, including large companies and individual developers. This inclusivity accelerates technological advancement through collaborative contributions.
