Saudi Arabia Collaborates In IMO's Marine Environmental Protection Efforts

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recently marked its presence at the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Scientific Groups under the London Convention and London Protocol, held in London. This significant participation was spearheaded by the Transport General Authority, with substantial support from the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. The assembly of the Scientific Groups for the London Convention and Protocol plays a crucial role as an advisory body, convening annually to provide expert guidance on technical matters to the Contracting Parties.

The primary focus of these gatherings is to propose and refine regulatory frameworks, guidelines, and tools.
