'Study In Saudi Arabia': New Platform Eases University Admissions For International Students
The "Study in Saudi Arabia" platform exemplifies Saudi Arabia's dedication to education and its global dissemination. This initiative offers educational opportunities to international students, inviting learners from various countries to enrol in Saudi universities across multiple disciplines.
Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Hessouni, the Director of the Educational Visa Program and supervisor of the "Study in Saudi Arabia" platform, highlighted the Ministry of Education's goal to raise awareness about this unified national platform. Speaking at a forum for non-Saudi graduates in Nairobi, Kenya, he emphasised that the platform supports international students by providing services in ten languages.

The platform simplifies the application process for international students wishing to study in Saudi universities. It allows them to submit their applications electronically and track their progress until they receive their educational visas. This is achieved through a coordinated effort between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Al-Hessouni noted that the forum aims to support non-Saudi graduates from Saudi universities. Over 600 Kenyan students have graduated from these institutions. Each year, Saudi Arabia allocates around 190 seats specifically for students from Kenya to pursue higher education in its universities.
This initiative not only fosters educational growth but also strengthens international ties by welcoming students from diverse backgrounds. The "Study in Saudi Arabia" platform is a testament to the Kingdom's commitment to providing quality education and fostering global academic collaboration.
The forum held in Nairobi underscores the importance of nurturing relationships with alumni who have studied in Saudi Arabia. By maintaining these connections, Saudi Arabia continues to build a network of educated individuals who can contribute positively to their home countries and strengthen bilateral relations.
Through such initiatives, Saudi Arabia demonstrates its role as a hub for higher education, attracting talent from around the world and offering them opportunities to excel academically and professionally.
