This document highlights key initiatives in digital sustainability within the Kingdom. Developed with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), it showcases 13 success stories from 16 public and private sector entities.

The report emphasises the role of innovative solutions in IT and space sectors to achieve sustainable development goals. Notably, 70% of these goals rely on digital technologies, while 40% benefit from data derived through space technologies. These include satellite-based earth observation, positioning, navigation, satellite communications, space exploration, and gravity-related research.

Saudi's Tech for Sustainability

CST's efforts to leverage modern technologies for creating innovative business models are also highlighted. These models aim to contribute towards a sustainable future. The report aligns with CST's digital sustainability strategy known as C.I.R.C.L.E.S., which promotes circular digital economy initiatives.

One significant aspect of the strategy is the introduction of the first global guide for developing digital sustainability strategies. Additionally, regulations have been formulated to reduce electronic waste in three countries. CST also co-hosted the Global Space Debris Conference with the Saudi Space Agency to raise awareness about space debris challenges and risks.

The report provides an overview of the current landscape of digital sustainability in Saudi Arabia. It underscores CST's commitment to using modern technologies to foster sustainable development across various sectors.
