Saudi Arabia Leads In Digital Regulation: 2023 DRA Report Reveals
The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has unveiled the 2023 annual report of the Digital Regulatory Academy (DRA). This report outlines the academy's origins, objectives, academic tracks, and significant achievements. It also highlights Saudi Arabia's pioneering role in global digital regulation.
The DRA was established to develop national human resources capable of leading in digital policies and regulations. This initiative aims to foster a thriving digital economy by empowering individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Since its inception in 2021, the DRA has partnered with prominent global institutions. In 2023, it conducted 15 enrichment programs benefiting around 150 participants. Additionally, it offered 10 training programs for 391 local trainees and 123 international trainees from 52 countries.
The academy's efforts included forming seven global academic partnerships for training programs. Notably, it graduated 20 leaders from an executive master's program in collaboration with HEC Paris School, a renowned institution in executive training.
The DRA aims to enhance Saudi Arabia's leadership in digital regulation through innovative practices. It focuses on empowering regulatory capacity and improving collaborative regulatory work. The academy offers various academic tracks designed to equip participants with essential skills.
