Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Spearheads Delegation At Ukraine Peace Talks
Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah led Saudi Arabia's delegation at the Ukraine Peace Summit in Lucerne, Switzerland, on Saturday. In his address, Prince Faisal underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting efforts aimed at ending the conflict and achieving just peace and sustainable security.
Since the conflict began, Saudi Arabia has emphasized the importance of international law, peaceful resolution through dialogue, and reducing global tensions. The foreign minister highlighted that Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has expressed the Kingdom's willingness to mediate between the conflicting parties to help reach a resolution.

Prince Faisal noted that Saudi Arabia's initiatives have positively contributed to the exchange of hundreds of prisoners, including many foreign nationals. He reiterated the Kingdom's support for the international community in any serious negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict.
The minister stressed that any meaningful process would require Russian participation and expressed hope that the summit's outcomes would lead to achieving these objectives.
The Saudi delegation included Dr. Saud bin Mohammed Al-Sati, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs; Dr. Adel Merdad, Saudi Ambassador to Switzerland; and Abdulrahman Al-Daoud, Director-General of the Minister of Foreign Affairs office.
The summit represents a significant step in international efforts to address the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, with Saudi Arabia playing a crucial role in advocating for peace and stability.
