Saudi Arabia Reaffirms Commitment To Sustainable Development At UNCTAD16 Conference
Abdulmohsen Bin Khothaila, Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva, addressed the 16th UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD16). The conference focused on "Shaping the future: Driving economic transformation for equitable, inclusive and sustainable development." He stressed Saudi Arabia's dedication to sustainable economic transformation under Vision 2030.
Bin Khothaila highlighted Saudi Arabia's efforts to diversify income sources and create a competitive economy. He noted significant achievements in national industry, logistics, transportation, and smart services. The Kingdom aims to become a global hub for supply chains and international trade by investing in strategic ports and smart transportation infrastructure.

The ambassador emphasized Saudi Arabia's leadership in digital transformation. The Kingdom's strategy places technology and innovation at the core of various sectors. This approach aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals and UNCTAD's vision for a balanced global economy.

Bin Khothaila also discussed Saudi Arabia's commitment to global development through the Saudi Fund for Development.
