Saudi Arabia Pledges Enhanced Safety Measures For Hajj Pilgrims

Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz has reiterated Saudi Arabia's steadfast commitment to serving pilgrims and ensuring their safety during the Hajj season. In a recent meeting with Hajj Security Committee members and leaders from security and military agencies, Prince Abdulaziz expressed his gratitude for the exceptional efforts of the personnel involved this year.

The professionalism and preparedness of security and military personnel have been crucial in maintaining a peaceful environment for pilgrims. Prince Abdulaziz highlighted the collaborative approach between various security authorities, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Guard, the Ministry of Defense, the General Intelligence Presidency, the Presidency of State Security, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, and the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority.

This synergy among different agencies has been vital in ensuring the smooth arrival and well-being of pilgrims at holy sites. Prince Abdulaziz directed all participating agencies to intensify their efforts to support pilgrims throughout the remaining Hajj season, ensuring their safe return to their homelands.

During the briefing, Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Bassami provided a comprehensive overview of the accomplishments of Hajj security forces during the initial phases of their security plans. He reaffirmed that all security and military agencies are fully prepared to execute the remaining phases, prioritising the safety and peace of mind of all pilgrims.
