Saudi Arabia Civil Aviation Delegation Reviews Industry Innovations At Changi Summit 2026

The Kingdom, through the General Authority of Civil Aviation, joined the Changi Aviation Summit 2026 and the Singapore Airshow 2026 in the Republic of Singapore, using the events from 1 to 3 February 2026 to highlight Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation ambitions, international partnerships and plans to strengthen its role in global passenger and cargo networks.

The official delegation was led by Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the GACA Board of Directors Saleh Al-Jasser, with GACA President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej and several chief executive officers and aviation specialists also present, reflecting coordinated government and private sector participation across airports, airlines and related service providers.

Participation in the Changi Aviation Summit 2026 underlined the Kingdom’s intention to deepen international cooperation in civil aviation, as the summit brings together ministers, regulators and industry leaders to debate major sector challenges, explore policy responses and examine opportunities created by shifting travel patterns, technological change and evolving regulatory expectations across different regions.

GACA used the summit platform to track new regulatory trends and technical standards, while also underlining its focus on aviation safety, security and operational reliability, seeking alignment with recognised global benchmarks so that Saudi airports, airlines and air navigation services remain compatible with international frameworks and able to support increasing passenger and freight movements.

During the visit, Abdulaziz Al-Duailej and GACA vice presidents toured the Singapore Airshow 2026, which is considered one of the main global exhibitions for aviation and aerospace technologies, reviewing aircraft designs, digital systems, maintenance solutions, support services and potential future tools designed to improve efficiency and strengthen competitiveness across the aviation value chain.

The tour was also used to improve direct communication with major international manufacturers, technology firms and service providers, allowing the Saudi delegation to discuss possible cooperation frameworks, investment opportunities and strategic partnerships that could support knowledge transfer, specialist training and the localisation of advanced aviation technologies inside the Kingdom.

These discussions link directly with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and the Aviation Program, both aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, which seek to position Saudi Arabia as a global hub for aviation and logistics services by expanding connectivity, upgrading infrastructure and enhancing service quality across passenger, cargo and airport operations.

The Kingdom’s presence at both the summit and airshow demonstrates an integrated approach to developing the civil aviation ecosystem, combining international dialogue, exposure to new technologies and targeted partnerships, with the overall aim of supporting sustainable sector growth and consolidating Saudi Arabia’s role in shaping future global aviation trends.
