Saudi Arabia Leads High-Level Delegation To World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 In Davos

Saudi Arabia is sending a senior delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, scheduled from January 19 to 23, where discussions will centre on global stability, the economy, and technological change.

The delegation plans to engage with leaders from government, business, civil society, and academia, using the Davos platform to exchange views, outline Saudi Arabia’s development experience, and highlight how Saudi Vision 2030 guides economic and social reform while supporting wider international cooperation and shared prosperity.

Saudi Arabia’s representatives will take part in bilateral meetings and public sessions, outlining how national reforms align with international efforts, while also listening to partners’ priorities as part of the Kingdom’s approach as a responsible member of the international community, which seeks constructive dialogue and practical cooperation in key economic and technological fields.

The 56th WEF Annual Meeting, held under the theme "A Spirit of Dialogue," takes place amid growing geopolitical uncertainty, concern about fragmentation, and rising complexity, as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and clean energy create both new opportunities and hard policy choices for governments, businesses, and international institutions across many regions.

The programme in Davos aims to narrow gaps between public and private sector priorities by reviewing innovative solutions across economic sectors, encouraging practical collaboration, and seeking ways to manage technological shifts while reducing risks, with organisers positioning the event as a space to examine future opportunities and reassess approaches to development and global resilience.

Saudi House, which first appeared as a standalone pavilion during the 2025 WEF Annual Meeting, will return in 2026 on the sidelines of the forum, after being established by the Ministry of Economy and Planning to host discussions among international thought leaders about current challenges, potential opportunities, and policy options influencing the global economy.

Over the week in Davos, Saudi House is scheduled to hold more than 20 sessions, including over 10 sessions accredited by the WEF, organised around six themes: Bold Vision, Insights for Impact, People and Human Capability, Quality of Life, Investment and Collaboration, and Welcoming the World, each addressing different aspects of development and long-term planning.

Saudi House will also introduce NextOn, described as a series of influential, educational, and inspiring talks from thought leaders, designed to share insights on emerging trends, leadership experiences, and policy debates, offering additional content alongside the formal World Economic Forum agenda and encouraging detailed discussion of complex global issues.

The 56th WEF Annual Meeting will bring together heads of state, senior policymakers, and leading academic figures, with representatives from more than 100 governments and major international organisations, as well as over 1,000 senior private sector executives, reflecting the broad range of participants involved in addressing development challenges and strengthening frameworks for joint institutional action.

Saudi Arabia’s involvement in Davos, through both the official delegation and Saudi House, is set to highlight the Kingdom’s reform path under Saudi Vision 2030, while contributing to wider debates at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 on economic transformation, technological change, and the search for more stable and cooperative international relations.
