Saudi Arabia Wins Big At 24th Arab Radio And TV Festival In Tunisia
The 24th Arab Radio and Television Festival concluded in Tunis, Tunisia. Organised by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) with the Tunisian Radio and Television Establishment and ArabSat, it celebrated various media achievements. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harthi, President of ASBU and CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA), presented awards to the winners.
Saudi Arabia's SBA won four radio and TV awards. In health programs, "Mental Health: Violence in Schools" earned second prize. The TV category saw three wins for Saudi Arabia. The Saudi street program's episode on Vision 2030 secured second place in news talk shows.

"Heritage in the Maqam of Hijaz" won first prize in general documentary films and programs. Additionally, the social drama series ‘Al-Arbaji 2’ took second place in the social series category. These accolades highlight Saudi Arabia's growing influence in media production.
The festival also honoured judging panels for radio and television competitions. Awards were distributed for news exchange and program exchange competitions, where SBA received second prizes in both categories for 2024.
A TV and radio program market was a key feature of the event. The ASBU Exhibition showcased new media, artistic, and cultural productions from member institutions, private networks, and production companies.
The festival's collaborative efforts with various broadcasting entities underscore its significance in promoting media excellence across the Arab world. This year's edition continued to foster a spirit of innovation and creativity among participants.
