Saudi Arabia Celebrates 94th National Day Highlighting Progress And Vision For The Future
Saudi Arabia is set to celebrate its 94th National Day on September 23. This occasion marks the Kingdom's ongoing achievements, driven by a national vision led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Their leadership aims to foster growth and prosperity, establishing Saudi Arabia as a significant global player.
The Kingdom's progress today continues the legacy of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, who founded the state with the Holy Quran and Sunnah as its constitution. His leadership laid the groundwork for a nation that values security, stability, and influence both locally and internationally.

King Abdulaziz was born in Riyadh in 1293 AH. He received education in reading, writing, Islam, and equestrian skills from a young age. Influenced by his parents' wisdom, he developed patience and strength through various life events. His forced departure from Riyadh in 1308 Hijri was notably challenging.
After settling in Kuwait for several years, King Abdulaziz returned to Riyadh in 1319 AH with an army. He restored order after a brief battle, marking the start of a prosperous era. By 1320 AH, he was recognized as Amir of Najd and Imam of its people.
King Abdulaziz united the Arabian Peninsula, bringing stability after years of chaos. In Jumada Al-Awwal 1351 Hijri, he renamed the state to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He focused on expanding holy mosques, building infrastructure, and supporting agriculture through irrigation.
Oil exploration began in 1933 but initially yielded no results. However, perseverance paid off when oil was discovered at Ain Jet in 1939. This discovery marked the beginning of state projects planned by King Abdulaziz.
Diplomacy and International Relations
King Abdulaziz prioritized diplomacy while maintaining Saudi Arabia's independence. His transparent dealings earned admiration globally. He addressed issues like Palestine with world leaders such as President Roosevelt, advocating for justice for Arabs in Palestine.
The King's interest extended to scientific publications; he printed Arabic books on various sciences at his expense. His approach involved consulting citizens for opinions and advice based on Islamic teachings.
Legacy of Leadership
The leadership model established by King Abdulaziz continued under his successors. King Saud bin Abdulaziz initiated foundational institutions; King Faisal implemented five-year development plans; King Khalid achieved further prosperity; King Fahd oversaw comprehensive development; King Abdullah advanced education and health sectors.
Under King Salman bin Abdulaziz's reign, Saudi Arabia has made significant strides across various fields since Vision 2030's launch. The Kingdom now ranks among the world's top economies with a strong international presence.
