Saudi Ambassador Collaborates With KSrelief For Medical Aid In Gambia
In a significant move to bolster healthcare in the Republic of Gambia, the non-resident ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Saad Al-Nufai’i, convened with a delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in Bingul. The delegation, led by Dr. Ali bin Saad Al-Qarni, Director of the Voluntary Programs Department at KSrelief, is set to launch advanced volunteer medical projects in Banjul aimed at removing women’s tumors and performing specialized surgeries for children.
The meeting served as a platform to discuss humanitarian and relief issues, underscoring KSrelief's commitment to volunteer work globally. Ambassador Al-Nufai’i lauded the center's efforts in providing humanitarian aid and relief, particularly highlighting the impact of voluntary programs on needy groups worldwide. He recalled the successful voluntary project for ear, nose, throat, and cochlear implant surgeries recently carried out in Turkiye for Syrian children's benefit. This initiative is part of KSrelief's ongoing mission to alleviate patient suffering in some of the world's most needy countries, with a special focus on Africa.

Dr. Al-Qarni emphasized the significant humanitarian and voluntary relief efforts undertaken by Saudi Arabia through KSrelief. These efforts are in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and HRH the Crown Prince. They reflect an ambitious vision that prioritizes voluntary work as a key goal, aiming to mobilize 1 million volunteers by 2030.
The collaboration between KSrelief and Gambia highlights Saudi Arabia's dedication to extending its humanitarian outreach beyond its borders, focusing on healthcare improvements for vulnerable populations. This initiative not only showcases Saudi Arabia's role in global humanitarian efforts but also sets a benchmark for volunteer medical projects worldwide.
