Saudi Ambassador To Jordan Delivers Financial Aid For Humanitarian Relief In Gaza And Surrounding Areas
The Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, who also serves as the non-resident Ambassador to the State of Palestine, handed over financial aid on Sunday. This monthly support was given to Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, the Prime Minister of Palestine, at the embassy. The funds aim to help address humanitarian needs in Gaza and surrounding areas.
The Palestinian Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia's ongoing support. He stated, "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through this support, reaffirms the diligent efforts made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to engage with members of the international community to achieve a ceasefire, protect civilians, and allow for increased humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people." This statement highlights Saudi Arabia's commitment to peace and humanitarian efforts.

Dr. Mohammed Mustafa emphasized that Saudi Arabia is dedicated to finding a fair and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue. The Kingdom aims for Palestinians to gain all their legitimate rights and establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. This reflects Saudi Arabia's prioritization of the Palestinian cause as a central concern.
Since the crisis began, Saudi Arabia has actively worked to manage the situation in Gaza. The Kingdom has focused on addressing severe humanitarian conditions there. Efforts include unifying Arab and Islamic positions against Israeli actions in Gaza and breaking blockades imposed on the region.
The Kingdom's leadership in chairing a ministerial committee from an extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit has been pivotal. This committee confronts Israeli aggression in Gaza and works towards lifting blockades. Such efforts have led several friendly nations to recognize Palestine as a state.
Saudi Arabia continues its advocacy for Palestine's full membership in the United Nations. This push aligns with its long-standing support for Palestinian rights on international platforms.
Ongoing Support
The recent financial aid is part of continuous assistance from Saudi Arabia over many years. The Kingdom has provided $5.3 billion in humanitarian, relief, and developmental aid to support Palestinians. This ongoing commitment underscores Saudi Arabia's role in aiding those affected by conflict in Gaza.
This sustained support from Saudi Arabia demonstrates its dedication to alleviating hardships faced by Palestinians while striving for peace and stability in the region.
