First Air Samarkand Flight Lands In Jeddah, Strengthening Saudi-Uzbek Aviation Links

The Saudi Air Connectivity Program (ACP) celebrated the arrival of Air Samarkand's first flight to Jeddah. The airline operated an Airbus A321neo from Samarkand to Jeddah, then returned to Namangan before launching another flight to Jeddah. An Air Samarkand Airbus A330 also completed a similar journey from Tashkent.

These inaugural flights represent a significant step in enhancing aviation connections between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia. The new route is particularly important for Uzbek Muslims, providing easier access to Islamic holy sites. Air Samarkand will offer flights to Jeddah from several Uzbek cities: Samarkand, Tashkent, Namangan, and Fergana.
