Saudi Agricultural Exhibition 2025 Launched By Minister With SAR3.5 Billion In Investments Secured

The 42nd Saudi Agriculture Exhibition commenced at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, inaugurated by Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley. This four-day event is a significant platform for collaboration in the agricultural sector, focusing on technological advancements and innovations to enhance food systems.

Minister Alfadley toured the exhibition, which features diverse agricultural sectors such as plant production, organic farming, livestock, food processing, packaging, and aquaculture. During his visit, he witnessed the signing of 28 agreements and memoranda of understanding worth over SAR3.5 billion. These agreements involve partnerships between government bodies, private sector partners, and international firms.

Minister Launches Saudi Agricultural Exhibition 2025

The Saudi Agricultural Exhibition aligns with national economic priorities by highlighting innovations in farming and food production. It underscores the sector's growing role in economic development, with its GDP contribution expected to reach SAR119 billion in 2024 and approximately SAR140 billion by 2030. The event also supports efforts towards food security and sustainability.

Prince Saud bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Riyadh Exhibitions Company, emphasized the exhibition's role as a collaborative platform for stakeholders in agriculture. He stressed the importance of addressing climate and environmental challenges through innovative solutions to protect resources and promote sustainable development.

The exhibition has attracted over 446 participants from 34 countries showcasing advanced technologies in plant, animal, and fish production. This international involvement highlights the growth of Saudi Arabia's agricultural sector and its strides towards achieving food security and self-sufficiency in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Several major events are scheduled alongside the exhibition. These include the International Agriculture Future Summit, the 13th International Food Processing and Packaging Exhibition, the 7th International Aquaculture Exhibition, and the 30th International Food Products and Technologies Exhibition.

A new Agricultural Innovation Center was also inaugurated by Minister Alfadley during the event. This center aims to foster advancements in agriculture that support sustainable practices and enhance food security across Saudi Arabia.

The exhibition's focus on cutting-edge technologies reflects its commitment to promoting sustainable food production methods. This approach is crucial for addressing global challenges related to climate change while ensuring long-term resource protection.
