Saqr Humanitarian Ship: UAE Completes Relief Package Prep For Gaza Aid
The Saqr Humanitarian Ship has been readied with large-scale relief supplies bound for the Gaza Strip, forming part of the UAE’s ongoing aid response. The mission aims to support civilians in Gaza, with a focus on children, women and elderly people facing severe humanitarian pressures.
The relief operation is organised by the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation under the supervision of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. The initiative is carried out in coordination with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, integrating the ship’s work into national humanitarian planning.

Preparation of the Saqr Humanitarian Ship’s cargo took place at the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre (Expo), where aid items were assembled and packed. These activities are part of a schedule to load the ship before its upcoming departure to El Arish Port in the Arab Republic of Egypt, a key gateway for assistance heading to Gaza.
The completed consignments for the Saqr Humanitarian Ship include food provisions, health and hygiene items, shelter equipment and medical supplies. Together, these materials form part of a shipment totalling about 4,000 tonnes of humanitarian and relief aid, designed to cover essential needs for affected communities across the Gaza Strip.
{TABLE_1}Volunteers from different parts of UAE society, including Emirati citizens and residents, participated in preparing the relief packages for the Saqr Humanitarian Ship. Their involvement highlights social solidarity within the UAE and shows how community members contribute directly to humanitarian efforts linked with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 and wider national aid campaigns.
The Saqr Humanitarian Ship mission fits within the UAE’s established humanitarian framework, which aims to ease civilian suffering in Gaza and support the Palestinian people. It also underscores the role of Ras Al Khaimah in national relief work and the emirate’s contribution to regional and international humanitarian activities.
