Saqr Humanitarian Ship Begins Preparations To Support Gaza Relief Efforts

The Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation is preparing large-scale aid shipments in Ras Al Khaimah for the Saqr Humanitarian Ship, which will carry about 4,000 tonnes of relief supplies to the Gaza Strip through El Arish Port in Egypt, under UAE directives.

The relief parcels being assembled contain food, medical materials, health products and shelter items, designed to ease hardship for civilians in the Gaza Strip, with particular attention to children, women and older people, as part of the UAE’s wider humanitarian framework for affected communities.

This humanitarian support follows the directives of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and is supervised by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation, in coordination with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.

At the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre, teams are currently packing and organising the humanitarian support parcels for the Saqr Humanitarian Ship, with the work taking place ahead of loading operations and the ship’s later sailing to El Arish Port in the Arab Republic of Egypt, before aid reaches the Gaza Strip.

Volunteers from different groups across the UAE, including citizens and residents, are actively involved in preparing the humanitarian support aboard the Saqr Humanitarian Ship, helping to sort, pack and assemble aid parcels, which demonstrates strong social solidarity and the sense of shared humanitarian responsibility that is widely seen within UAE society.

The initiative, linked to Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, is rooted in the UAE’s long-standing humanitarian support approach and reflects the leadership’s ongoing commitment to assist the Palestinian people amid severe humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, expressing national values of generosity, solidarity and organised humanitarian policy.

The Saqr Humanitarian Ship highlights how national efforts align within Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, while Ras Al Khaimah plays a clear role in the UAE’s humanitarian support initiatives, strengthening the emirate’s contribution to regional and international relief work focused on civilians in the Gaza Strip.
