Saqr Humanitarian Ship Arrives At Al Arish Port With Over 4000 Tonnes UAE Aid For Gaza

The Saqr Humanitarian Ship has reached Al Arish Port in the Arab Republic of Egypt, bringing more than 4,000 tonnes of relief items for civilians in the Gaza Strip. The vessel forms part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 and is the 12th relief ship sent by the UAE to support people affected by the conflict.

The UAE states that these repeated shipments reflect a long-standing humanitarian policy towards the Palestinian people. Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, praised the work of the UAE Humanitarian Aid Team based in Al Arish for keeping assistance flowing into Gaza.

The aid on board the Saqr Humanitarian Ship includes food staples, medical supplies and materials for shelter. Items such as medicines, medical consumables and equipment are part of the cargo, along with winter clothing and essential household goods. These resources target urgent needs, especially for children, women and elderly people in the Gaza Strip.

In this context, Ahmed Rashid Al Zaabi, Secretary-General of the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation, said, "Today, we welcome the Saqr Humanitarian Ship — a vessel filled with love, generosity and brotherhood — carrying more than 4,000 tonnes of consumable goods, medical supplies, medicines, food items and dates. This shipment is a gift from the UAE to our brothers in the Gaza Strip on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan."

After docking at Al Arish Port, the Saqr Humanitarian Ship was received by the UAE Humanitarian Aid Team. The team started unloading the cargo and moving it to the UAE humanitarian logistics centre in Al Arish. From there, supplies are prepared for entry into the Gaza Strip, in coordination with official bodies and humanitarian partners.

Through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the UAE continues to send sea, air and land assistance to Gaza. The Saqr Humanitarian Ship shipment adds to previous deliveries and underlines a consistent relief approach, aimed at easing hardship for civilians and supporting basic services for the Palestinian population during the ongoing crisis.
