SAP Business Data Cloud Launches Integrating Databricks Technology To Enhance Enterprise AI Capabilities

SAP has introduced the SAP Business Data Cloud, a new solution aimed at unifying enterprise data to enhance Business AI capabilities. This platform integrates data from SAP and third-party sources, using Databricks technology to improve data engineering, machine learning, and AI functionalities. It redefines interactions between applications and data platforms, offering organisations a reliable data foundation for better decision-making and AI insights.

The global launch coincided with SAP CEO Christian Klein's visit to Dubai for the World Governments Summit (WGS). During his visit, Klein met with Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications. They discussed AI's transformative impact on business efficiency, sustainability, and public sector innovation.

SAP Launches Business Data Cloud with Databricks

Al Olama highlighted the UAE's role as a hub for international companies to innovate and launch new platforms. He stated, "The UAE has become a global destination for international companies to thrive, advance their journey, and launch breakthrough platforms and initiatives in alignment with ongoing partnerships. This reinforces our shared vision of harnessing technology for a smarter, more connected future."

Christian Klein emphasised the value of SAP Business Data Cloud in unlocking enterprise data potential. "SAP Business Data Cloud unleashes the full value of enterprise data for Business AI," he said. The platform combines SAP’s expertise in critical processes with Databricks’ data engineering capabilities to offer a unique solution that maximises data utility.

During WGS, Klein reiterated SAP’s dedication to supporting the UAE’s digital transformation through AI-driven solutions tailored to regional needs. The SAP Business Data Cloud is crucial in advancing the UAE’s AI objectives by transitioning organisations from isolated data silos to a cohesive data foundation that supports intelligent automation and strategic decisions.

SAP also unveiled ready-to-use AI agents powered by Joule, its generative AI copilot. These agents enhance business processes across finance, service, and sales by utilising real-time enterprise data. Joule agents collaborate across functions to solve complex challenges efficiently.

Customisable AI Solutions

A new agent builder capability was also announced by SAP. This feature allows customers to create custom AI agents that leverage SAP’s business process expertise and knowledge graph. Organisations can tailor AI-driven automation to their specific needs, boosting productivity and operational efficiency.

SAP’s investment in the UAE strengthens its position as a global centre for AI and digital transformation. Through solutions like SAP Business Data Cloud, businesses are empowered to fully utilise their data resources, improve sustainability efforts, and foster long-term economic growth.
