In A First, Salik To Expand Parking Solutions Beyond Dubai In The UAE

Dubai's Salik Company PJSC, known for its exclusive toll gate operations, has recently announced a significant partnership with Parkonic, the leading private sector parking operator in the UAE. This collaboration is set to revolutionize parking payment methods by incorporating Salik's sophisticated eWallet system into Parkonic's operations.

This partnership, outlined in a five-year agreement, will see the integration of Salik’s eWallet across Parkonic’s extensive network of 107 parking locations and any future sites they may manage throughout the UAE. This venture marks a notable expansion of Salik's services beyond Dubai for the first time.

The initiative will enable Parkonic to offer Salik's eWallet as the premier payment option for its users, ensuring a streamlined and hassle-free parking payment process. In return for utilizing Salik's eWallet services, Parkonic has agreed to share a portion of the parking revenue generated through this payment method with Salik. The implementation of this solution across approximately 135,000 parking spaces is anticipated to commence in the first quarter of 2025.

Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, Chief Executive Officer of Salik, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, "Our strategic partnership with Parkonic will facilitate advanced parking payment solutions across approximately 135,000 spaces and 107 locations in the UAE, and marks the first time Salik has expanded beyond the Emirate of Dubai."
