SAL And Sela Sign SAR4 Billion Agreement To Establish Logistics Zone North Of Riyadh
SAL Saudi Logistics Services Company and Sela Company have partnered to establish the SAR4-billion SAL Logistics Zone. This expansive project spans over 1.5 million square meters within Falcons City, located north of Riyadh. The initiative aims to strengthen strategic partnerships and bolster the logistics sector, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
The agreement was formalised in Riyadh, attended by notable figures such as Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih and Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser. Other attendees included General Authority of Civil Aviation President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, Saudi Falcons Club CEO Talal bin Abdulaziz Al-Shamaisi, alongside various officials, investors, and business leaders.

Omar bin Talal Hariri, CEO of SAL, highlighted the strategic location of the new logistics zone near King Khalid International Airport. Its proximity to major highways and rail networks enhances its role as a comprehensive hub for shipping and distribution operations across the Kingdom. This development supports Saudi Arabia's ambition to be a key player in global trade.
Falcons City is an advanced model of integrated cities covering 14.4 million square meters in Malham. It boasts easy accessibility and includes significant facilities like the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center. The state-of-the-art logistics zone attracts major global companies with features such as an aviation runway and aircraft maintenance area, boosting air transport efficiency.
The Malham area is home to the Saudi Falcons Club, a prominent cultural landmark contributing to tourism through various programs and events. This integration of economic projects with heritage activities draws visitors and investors alike, reinforcing the area's status as a destination that blends modern economy with cultural preservation.
Rakan Al-Harthy, Managing Director of Sela, signed the agreement on behalf of his company. The project will include high-quality warehouses designed to meet diverse requirements. These Category A storage spaces are part of SAL's strategic plan to enhance its leadership as a national logistics provider adhering to global standards.

The Falcons City project features economic, commercial, residential, hospitality, and entertainment zones. An outlet mall is also part of the development to meet investor aspirations while catering to residents' and visitors' needs. This comprehensive approach ensures that Falcons City remains an attractive destination for various stakeholders.
Hariri emphasised that this SAR4-billion investment aligns with SAL’s strategic objectives. By developing a model logistics zone, SAL aims to solidify its position as a leader in national logistics services while supporting Saudi Arabia’s role as a global trade centre.
