Sakani Housing Program Enables 8,427 Saudi Families To Benefit In January 2026
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing reported that contracts under the "Sakani" housing support program reached 1,016,886 across Saudi Arabia from 2017 until the end of January 2026. During January 2026 alone, 8,427 Saudi families received housing support services in different regions of the Kingdom.
Officials explained that "Sakani" operates within the Housing Program, one of the initiatives linked to Saudi Vision 2030. Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail stated earlier that the homeownership rate among Saudi families exceeded 66.24% by the end of 2025, highlighting progress toward program targets.

The ministry stated that the average daily implementation rate of housing product contracts during January 2026 reached 428 contracts per day. This daily rate shows continued activity in enabling access to housing solutions and reflects faster homeownership procedures for Saudi families who meet eligibility criteria under the "Sakani" framework.
Data from the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing showed that January 2026 beneficiaries were spread across several regions. Riyadh Region accounted for the largest share of families, followed by Makkah Region and Eastern Region, while the rest of the Kingdom’s regions together formed the remaining proportion of supported households.
| Region | Share of January 2026 beneficiary families |
|---|---|
| Riyadh Region | 26% |
| Makkah Region | 18% |
| Eastern Region | 14% |
| Other regions of the Kingdom | 42% |
The ministry noted that the remaining 42% of January 2026 beneficiaries were distributed among other Saudi regions. This spread indicates wide geographic coverage of the "Sakani" housing support program and shows that housing demand exists across urban and non-urban areas throughout the Kingdom.
According to the ministry, the "Sakani" housing support program offers several housing products to suit different family preferences. Options include ready-built housing units, units under construction within off-plan sales projects, self-construction solutions for eligible landowners, and residential land plots prepared for development in many Saudi regions.
Officials stated that the total volume of "Sakani" contracts since 2017 reflects the cumulative impact of the program in helping Saudi families own suitable homes. The ministry added that these outcomes support the Housing Program’s objectives and contribute to strengthening cooperation between public entities and private developers within the housing sector in Saudi Arabia.
