Saif Bin Zayed Leads UAE Delegation To 42nd GCC Interior Ministers’ Meeting In Kuwait
H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, led the UAE delegation at the 42nd GCC Interior Ministers meeting in Kuwait's Bayan Palace. This gathering included interior ministers and delegation leaders from all GCC member nations. Sheikh Saif conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and expressed gratitude to Kuwait for their hospitality.
Sheikh Saif highlighted the importance of collaboration amidst growing regional and global security challenges. He emphasized that a united approach is crucial for maintaining the security and stability of GCC societies, ensuring continued progress and prosperity. The UAE remains committed to supporting initiatives that enhance unity and coordination within the GCC framework.

The meeting addressed several key topics aimed at advancing security cooperation among GCC states. Discussions focused on improving coordination mechanisms, reinforcing measures against organized crime and cybercrime, and consolidating collective security efforts to benefit both citizens and residents.
Participants explored the use of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance security readiness. They discussed modernising field operations and assessing recent developments in regional security. The role of technology in boosting security measures was a significant point of discussion during the meeting.
Upon his arrival in Kuwait City, H.H. Sheikh Saif was welcomed by Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, along with other senior officials. This reception underscored the strong ties between the two nations.
Sheikh Saif expressed confidence in the shared goals of Gulf countries under the guidance of Their Majesties and Highnesses, believing these efforts will lead to sustained partnership and progress. He reaffirmed that joint Gulf initiatives will meet common aspirations for regional advancement.
The ministers praised ongoing efforts to strengthen Gulf security cooperation, acknowledging national agencies' active roles in addressing both regional and global challenges. They stressed the importance of continued collaboration to protect developmental achievements and ensure lasting stability across the region.
H.H. Sheikh Saif also thanked Jassim Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC Secretariat, for his dedication to enhancing joint GCC action frameworks. His appreciation extended to all involved in fostering unity among member states.
