Saif Bin Zayed Celebrates Achievements At UAE University Graduation Ceremony For 43rd Class

The 43rd class of UAE University students celebrated their graduation in a ceremony attended by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. Held at the Crescent Building's Grand Hall in Al Ain, the event honoured 691 graduates for their accomplishments in various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Saeed bin Surour Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Also present were family members, faculty staff, and other officials. The event began with the UAE national anthem and featured a documentary on the students' university journey.

Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to His Highness the President and Supreme President of the University, delivered a keynote speech. He emphasised the university's role as a national incubator and cultural beacon, preparing to celebrate its golden jubilee in two years. The institution has produced over 80,000 graduates who now hold leadership positions.

Rashid Saeed Al Kindi from the College of Business and Economics addressed his peers during the ceremony. He expressed their pride in contributing to the UAE’s future and their commitment to pursuing the vision set by their leaders. He noted that they are ending their academic journey but stepping into a new phase filled with opportunities and challenges.

Al Kindi pledged dedication to serving the nation while continuing to seek knowledge and innovation for a prosperous future. He thanked university administration, faculty, and parents for their unwavering support throughout their educational journey.

The current graduating class includes 2,581 students from various fields. On the first day, 158 male and 533 female distinguished graduates were recognised. The second day will feature two sessions on 31st October for an additional 1,890 graduates.

During his speech, Zaki Nusseibeh highlighted that "We gather today under the benevolent guidance of our wise leadership," acknowledging His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision. Graduates from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences also took their medical oath during this significant event.

Reflecting on this momentous occasion, graduates expressed gratitude for reaching this milestone while recognising it as a stepping stone towards future endeavours. Their commitment remains strong towards elevating UAE’s profile globally through youth innovation inspired by leadership encouragement.

As they transition into new roles within society or further studies abroad or locally within UAE institutions like theirs at home base here at UAE University itself - these young minds are poised not only meet challenges head-on but also excel beyond expectations set forth before them today!
