Saeed Bin Maktoum Crowns Local Padel Tournament Winners At Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex
The local padel tournament at Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex concluded with Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of the UAE Padel Association, awarding the winners. This event marked the finale of the 12th edition of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament. In the women's category, Babette De Decker and Aisha Al Awadhi emerged victorious over Fatima Shahdour and Fatima Al Janahi.
In the men's category, Majed Al Janahi and Fares Al Janahi secured first place by defeating Rashid Waleed and Jassim Al Nuaimi. The under-18 youth category saw Rashid Waleed and Saif Al Hammadi triumph over Ahmed Al Mahri and Haider Ali. These matches highlighted the competitive spirit and skill level present in this year's tournament.

The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services team claimed victory in wheelchair basketball with a decisive 43-28 win against Dubai Municipality. The final took place at Nad Al Sheba Complex's main hall. Majid Al Osaimi, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee, along with Hassan Al Mazrouei, Tournament Director, and Ali Omar Al Balushi from Dubai Sports Council, crowned the champions.
Jassim Ramadan Murad from Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services received the Best Scorer Award for People of Determination. Malallah was recognised as the Best Scorer for Non-People of Determination. In volleyball, Al Ameed defeated Al Samawi 3-1 to secure third place in a thrilling match.
Hassan Al Mazrouei, alongside Ali Omar Al Balushi and Nawaf Abdullah from DP World - GCC, presented awards to winners of running and cycling races. Sheikh Humaid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla expressed joy after winning first place in the 5km race. He praised the event's organisation and preparation.
"I thank the organising committee for this wonderful organisation and excellent preparation for this world-class competition," said Sheikh Humaid. "The Nad Al Sheba Tournament is one of the best and largest sporting events, encompassing a variety of sports and attracting wide participation from various nationalities and ages."
Sheikh Humaid also shared his enthusiasm about participating again next season after his second successful attempt in this race. His comments reflect the tournament's appeal across different demographics.
