Russian Delegation Learns from Zayed Higher Organisation's Rehabilitation Practices
The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination recently hosted a notable delegation from the Sverdlovsk Region in the Russian Federation, alongside representatives from Ural Federal University. This three-day visit was a deep dive into the organisation's leading practices in supporting and rehabilitating individuals with determination. The delegation engaged in training sessions focusing on the cognitive neuro-psychological scale for children and explored the comprehensive range of services offered by the organisation, including educational, rehabilitative, psychological, and social healthcare services.
Discussions during the visit aimed at enhancing the collaboration between the Zayed Higher Organisation and Ural Federal University. Both parties are looking forward to joint participation in significant events such as the Autism Conference in April and the International Rehabilitation Conference in September of this year. Abdullah Abdulali Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of the organisation, along with other leaders, welcomed the delegation. Al-Humaidan expressed appreciation for the ongoing partnership, highlighting joint efforts in artificial intelligence, setting up psychological and neurological diagnostic labs, exchanging academic materials, and undertaking research projects.

The visit showcased the organisation's commitment to adopting global technologies and best practices to improve the quality of life for determined individuals. A special highlight was a three-day training program for psychological specialists, led by Professor Sergei Kiseliev from Ural Federal University. This program aimed at equipping professionals with effective strategies for assisting children, based on the work of Russian psychologist Alexander Luria.
Pavel Vladimirovich Krikov, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, underscored the visit as a pivotal step towards bolstering cooperation between the regions. He extended an invitation for further engagement at the SOCIO forum in Yekaterinburg in May, dedicated to comprehensive rehabilitation issues. Professor Kiseliev emphasized that Luria's neuro-psychological approach aids in understanding children's brain development and identifying developmental challenges.
The delegation's visit to the Zayed Higher Organisation provided them with insights into strategic projects and programs aimed at empowering individuals with determination. From vocational training to state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities, the breadth of services left a lasting impression on the visitors. This exchange of knowledge and experiences marks a significant partnership between the Sverdlovsk Region, Ural Federal University, and the Zayed Higher Organisation, fostering global well-being and inclusion for determined individuals.
