Rubu’ Qarn Initiative Celebrates 40 Years Of Human Investment In Sharjah’s Future Leaders

H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council, highlighted the benefits Sharjah is experiencing from decades of investing in its people. Her comments were made during the launch of the ‘From Here the Beginning’ initiative by Rubu’ Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, a body under the Sharjah Family and Community Council.

The initiative commemorates 40 years since His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi initiated a cultural project. This milestone reflects Rubu’ Qarn’s enduring connection with its alumni, who continue to influence its future direction. Sheikha Jawaher emphasised that these graduates are a testament to Sharjah's investment in human capital, urging them to uphold their commitment to community service.

Celebrating 40 Years of Rubu’ Qarn Initiative

Rubu’ Qarn started in 1985 with centres aimed at children and youth, evolving into a pioneering Arab institution dedicated to empowering generations. It now includes Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, and Sharjah for Capability Development. The initiative aims to connect with graduates through an Alumni Platform, fostering mentorship and career guidance while celebrating their achievements.

Sheikha Jawaher noted that four decades of nurturing talent have produced a generation aware of its responsibilities, equipped with knowledge and creativity, and now serving in leadership roles. Many who joined Rubu’ Qarn as children now guide the next generation through its centres.

A digital media campaign invites graduates aged 18 and above to register on the platform via https://rqg.ae. This effort aims to strengthen the sense of belonging and facilitate communication between generations. Additionally, a national alumni gathering will be organised to celebrate their accomplishments.

Sheikha Jawaher stressed that these graduates are the proud yield of Sharjah’s most valuable investment. She called on them to remain committed to their mission of giving back to their community and carrying forward a legacy where human empowerment remains the emirate’s most noble investment.
