Rubu Qarn Life Skills Season Wrap-Up Empowers Youth Leadership And Creative Projects
Rubu’ Qarn Centre for Life Skills completed a new season of its life skills programme, designed to prepare young people in Sharjah for leadership and innovation. The initiative aimed to build practical abilities and strong values, giving teenagers structured experiences that supported personal growth and social responsibility.
This season brought together 80 participants aged 13 to 18, including 40 young women from Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah and 40 young men from Sharjah Youth. They took part in activities in a safe, structured setting that encouraged independence, collaboration, and confidence across mixed learning formats.

The season ended with an exhibition where participants presented the outcomes of their life skills programme projects at Rubu’ Qarn Centre for Life Skills. Displays included homemade food items such as jams and pickles, cooked dishes, and natural products, alongside handmade canvas bags and guides on caring for home appliances and carrying out basic car maintenance.
These final projects reflected how the life skills programme at Rubu’ Qarn Centre for Life Skills linked theory with practice. Young people demonstrated that they could plan, create, and present products, while also explaining processes, safety steps, and budgeting choices that they had applied throughout the season’s workshops and activities.
Across the season, the life skills programme at Rubu’ Qarn Centre for Life Skills covered a broad mix of daily activities. Participants joined workshops in cooking, farming, and sewing, alongside morning exercise sessions, first aid training, survival skills, motivational talks, and a supervised desert hike that encouraged resilience and teamwork.
These sessions targeted both personal and professional competencies, as the life skills programme at Rubu’ Qarn Centre for Life Skills focused on teamwork, problem-solving, and responsibility. Practical tasks were combined with reflection, so participants could connect each activity with real-life situations at home, in education, and in future workplaces.
